Fall cleaning

I've been reading a lot about the "lemonade diet" that isn't actually a diet at all, but a cleanse. I'm a little afraid to try it, but I've read a lot about it and it seems like a positive step for someone who is feeling *fat* and honestly, kinda bloated. Ok, so the chips and chocolate add to that bloating, but I've been reading so much about the fact that our bodies are chock full of (ahem) fecal matter and that is one reason for weight gain and lethargy. I have about a week before I can hopefully start working, so it seems like the perfect time to start something like this.

I'm one of those people who need a kick-start when I'm trying to lose weight, and this seems like a good, healthy way to do that. Anybody out there have any experience with this particular program? I know my friend Laura in Denver has done it - anybody else?

I'll keep you updated on my progress - might make for an interesting daily post, don'tcha think? I know you're all dying to read about the state of my insides...

Dunno about the lemonade cleanse (it sounds tasty), but I find this one to be tried and true. It's a 3 day plan, and its primary job is to get excess sodium out of your system. You should see anywhere from 3-6 lb. drop in just those days if you stick with it.
2 eggs in the morning
1/2 orange in the morning
1/2 orange in the afternoon
10 8 oz. glasses of water
all raw green vegetables you can eat (no peas)
Pick ONE meat or seafood except for pork. Grill it or bake it or anything but fry it. Eat as much of that meat as you want.
Make sure to use 1/2 tsp. of LITE salt on your food to replace all the other sodium you won't be eating.
You can have 1 Tbls. lite butter or lite mayo per day, but no other cooking oils. Use Pam or equivalent to cook with meat.
No sodium-based seasonings. You can however, use spices and herbs if you want on your meat/raw veggies.
You can have up to 2 other non-caffeinated beverages during the day, but any sodas shouldn't have caramel coloring, so you need to stick with things like Fresca, Diet Sprite, etc...
G'luck with either plan you choose

I work with a bunch of folks that I feel are full of fecal matter. :-) I think I will suggest they drink more lemonade. :-)
